We are Caleb and Marvin, and we are on a journey to build our family. Our story began when we connected online, drawn together by a shared dream — the dream of becoming parents. From as young as either of us can remember, the desire to have children of our own has been a guiding force in our lives.
Both of us have dedicated our time to working with children in various capacities. Marvin currently volunteers at his church’s daycare, and Caleb is involved with Big Brothers, Big Sisters of America. These experiences have only deepened our desire to create a loving and supportive home of our own.
As a gay couple, our path to parenthood is limited to surrogacy and adoption. Our dream is to have at least one biological child before exploring adoption further. We share a vision of an active family life, and we hope to welcome our children before we turn 35, so we can be actively involved in their childhood adventures.
Surprisingly, the reality of surrogacy costs, both domestically and abroad, hit us harder than we expected. Many surrogacy agencies in the US quoted a minimum of $120,000. While we both work full time, raising such a substantial amount overnight is beyond our means. We’ve explored various options like loans and home refinancing, but we realized that these could compromise our ability to provide the best life for our future children.
So, we’re reaching out to you, the kindness of strangers, in the hopes that you can help us start our family. Your support will not only bring us closer to our dream but will set the stage for us to provide the best possible life for our children.
